Wednesday, October 26, 2011

MACON, Ga. (Oct. 26, 2011) – For the second time this season, ETSU freshman Gabriella Wahl (Heidenheim, Germany) has earned Atlantic Sun Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week honors, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Wahl enjoyed her best career tournament finish and single-round score this past weekend at the Palmetto Intercollegiate, placing second on the individual leaderboard and posting a 3-under-par 69 in the third and final round.

Her three round score of 3-under-par 213 was impressive, and helped the ETSU women to a new team-record score for a single round, as the Buccaneers carded a 7-under-par 281 and finished third on the team leaderboard.

The Bucs will return to action for their final event of the 2011 fall season Friday in the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman University in Greenville, S.C. For more on ETSU women’s golf throughout the 2011-12 campaign, visit ETSUBucs.com and click on the women’s golf link.
