ETSU women currently tied for fourth at Kiawah

                KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (Feb. 21, 2010) - Senior Sinead O'Sullivan (Galway, Ireland) posted a first round score of 1-under-par 71 to power the ETSU women's golf team to a tie for fourth place Sunday at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic.

 

            Playing the Cougar Point Golf Club course, the Buccaneers finished the day at 8-over 296, and find themselves 12 strokes back of Augusta State, which currently leads the 33-team field. Individually, O'Sullivan is just three strokes back of Augusta State's Sarah Mooney, who finished the day with a score of 4-under-par 68.

 

            Along with O'Sullivan, sophomore Nina Muehl (Vienna, Austria) posted another strong effort with an even par score of 72 to tie for eighth. Meanwhile, fellow sophomore Mayte Vizcarrondo (Cadiz, Spain) is tied for 25th.
