ETSU women's golf earns Top 25 academic designation from NGCA
Monday, July 10, 2006 JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. ( The National Golf Coaches Association announced Monday its 2005-06 All-Scholar Team GPA Award winner, as well as the Top 25 teams in the country. While "The girls made such an effort to meet their academic goal of a 3.4 GPA," said ETSU head coach Stefanie Reynolds. "I am extremely proud and excited for them that they surpassed their goal with a 3.54 GPA - especially with a wide variety of majors consisting of Physical Therapy, Economics, Sports Management, Business and Public Relations." The National Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The NGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition.
