KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (Nov. 1, 2005) - Senior Ashley Barton (Seffner, Fla.) finished tied for 20th Tuesday at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate, highlighting the efforts of the ETSU women's golf team at the Oak Point Golf Course.

 

The Lady Bucs ended the event in 15th place, as Idaho took the team championship with a score of 912, besting host College of Charleston by just one strokes. On the individual leaderboard, Idaho's Renee Skidmore made it a sweep by taking a one-stroke victory over Louisville's Adrienne White.

 

Along with Barton, ETSU sophomore Maria Ringdahl (Oland, Sweden) finished tied for 32nd and freshman Lucy Gould (Bargoed, Wales) tied for 45th.

 

ETSU will now return home and prepare for their final event of the fall season Nov. 7-8 at the Lady Jaguar Invitational hosted by Augusta State. For more on ETSU women's golf, visit ETSUBucs.com.
