ETSU Women's Golf Finishes First Day of Play at the Unlimited Potential Bay Tree Classic

Myrtle Beach, S.C. (September 6, 2002) - The East Tennessee State University women's golf team finished up their first day of play at the Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic in Myrtle Beach Friday. The Buccaneers are currently 33rd with two rounds left to play. Laura Diaz (Aguadilla, Puerto Rico) shot a team low 81, while Robin McCarley finished her round shooting an 87 on the Bay Tree par 72. Kristen Fletcher (Cookeville, Tenn.) and Danielle O'Reilly (Whistler, British Columbia) both shot a round of 90 and Kailey Brooks (Bracebridge, Ontario Canada) finished the day shooting 91. The tournament continues tomorrow and ends on Sunday. The Buccaneers tee off at 12:45 tomorrow. East Carolina University is the current leader at +13 followed by North Carolina Wilmington (+15) who trails by two strokes.
