Buccaneers Tied for Sixth After Day One of Pat Bradley Championship
Friday, November 01, 2002Las Croabas, Puerto Rico (November 1, 2002) - Sophomore Robin McCarley (Johnson City, Tenn.) shot a 76 to lead the East Tennessee State women's golf team to a sixth place tie after day one of the Pat Bradley Championship held in Las Croabas, Puerto Rico. The Buccaneers are tied with host Florida International after shooting a 322 (+ 34). McCarley's 76 tied her for seventh overall. Freshman Ashley Barton (Seffner, Fla.) shot a six over 78 to tie for 11th after day one while Junior Kristen Fletcher (Cookeville, Tenn.) shot an 81 (+9) to tie for 26 for the day. The University of South Florida leads the tournament after shooting a 296 (+8) overall. The tournament continues tomorrow and runs through Sunday Nov. 3. The Pat Bradley Championship will mark ETSU's final tournament of the fall season. ETSU's spring season will open February 24 as the Buccaneers travel to Atlanta, Ga. for the Blade Sportswear Intercollegiate hosted by Mercer University.
