Monday, May 05, 2003

JOHNSON CITY (May 5, 2003) - East Tennessee State women's golf coach Stefanie Reynolds announced Monday that Morristown native Vanessa Breeding has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Buccaneers. A senior at Morristown West High School, Breeding is a captain on the Lady Trojans golf team and was a four-year participant on the varsity squad. She was the team's most valuable player in 2002 and has finished well in the Class 3A state golf tournament - placing 16th individually in 2001 and 10th in 2002. "She is a solid competitor with winning experience," Reynolds said. "Coming from a high school championship team I look for Vanessa to play a key role as we build our championship program here at East Tennessee State." While Breeding is choosing to play golf in college, she was also a two-year competitor for the Lady Trojans girls basketball team, helping that team to state tournament berths in 1999-2000 and 2000-2001. She is also a member of several clubs at West, including the Beta Club, HOSA, Young Life and Key Club.
