ETSU women's hoops take on South Carolina Sunday

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Nov. 11, 2006) - After dropping its season-opener to No. 2 North Carolina on Friday night, the ETSU women's basketball team hopes to bounce back as they take on South Carolina Sunday afternoon. Tip is set for 3 p.m. inside the Colonial Center and ETSU fans can view the game via webcast by visiting www.uscsports.com.

 

Three Lady Bucs will be heading back to their home state this weekend. Senior Holly Moring (Irmo, S.C.), and juniors Nichelle Akers (Sumter, S.C.) and Alisha Holmes (Orangeburg, S.C.) will all be making the trip back to South Carolina.

 

South Carolina leads the series 10-1, and defeated ETSU in its last meeting, 117-71, on Dec. 19, 2000. The Lady Bucs posted their only win in the series on Feb. 14, 1983, 70-59, but have never won at South Carolina. For more information on your Lady Bucs please visit www.ETSUBucs.com.
