JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 22, 2007) - The ETSU women's basketball team will look to win its fifth straight game at home when they take on Kennesaw State Friday night as the CSS/A-Sun Game of Week. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. inside Memorial Center.

After its two game trip to Jacksonville, ETSU (15-10, 11-4) is glad to return home where they have won four straight. During this streak the Lady Bucs have been dominating their opponents by outscoring them 81.5 to 59 and shooting 46.9 percent compared to 36.2 by their opponents. ETSU is also averaging 18.8 assists per game, along with 14.5 steals per contest during this stretch. In her previous two games inside Memorial Center, senior guard Holly Moring (Irmo, S.C.) has been lights out. Moring is shooting 88.9 percent (8-9) from the field and 85.7 percent from beyond the arc (6-7), good for 11.0 ppg.

Like ETSU, Kennesaw State (11-14, 7-8) is coming off a Jacksonville split where they also beat UNF and fell to Jacksonville. The Lady Owls played a tight game against the Ospreys as Gia Lockett's jumper with three seconds remaining gave them a 58-56 victory. However, Kennesaw was dealt a 17-point loss (74-57) two days later when they played Jacksonville. Three Lady Owl players are averaging double figures as freshman Rosetta Hollis leads the way with 13.1 ppg.

ETSU leads the all-time series, 3-0, after defeating the Lady Owls 95-88 on Jan. 27. The 95 points scored is the highest scoring performance this season in the A-Sun between two conference foes as well as the most points scored in an A-Sun league game since 2004. Michele DeVault (Columbus, Ohio) led the way with a career-high 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Kennesaw State is one of three teams the Lady Bucs have a perfect mark against (UNF and Campbell).
