JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 1, 2007) - The ETSU women's basketball team have been very successful inside Memorial Center this season as they won eight of its 11 home games, including its last five contests. A win over Stetson on Friday afternoon will push the Lady Bucs' home winning streak to six, marking the first time since the 1999-2000 season this feat has been accomplished. An early matinee is in store for ETSU on Friday as tip is scheduled for 1 p.m. inside Memorial Center.

The Lady Bucs are coming off an impressive 78-60 victory over Kennesaw State a week ago where senior Brooke Wilhoit (Sevierville, Tenn.) and freshman Latisha Belcher (Ridgeway, Va.) helped lead the way for ETSU. Wilhoit set a new career high by dishing out a conference best 14 assists, while Belcher earned her first collegiate double-double by scoring 10 points and grabbing a career high 12 rebounds. Three other Lady Bucs reached double figures in the win as freshman Siarre Evans (Griffin, Ga.) scored a team-high 13 points; Michele DeVault (Columbus, Ohio) netted 12 and Kelly Turman (Atlanta) finished with 10.

Stetson enters Friday's game on a rough slide as they have lost eight of its last nine games and have not won on the road since Jan. 6 when they defeated Mercer, 57-50. The Hatters defeated UNF last Thursday, 72-50, but then lost a tough one to Jacksonville, 66-59 on Saturday. Janene Maclin leads the team in scoring (12.6) and rebounding (6.9).

The Lady Bucs downed Stetson 78-69 back in December thanks to a game-high 21 points by Evans, while Wilhoit dished out 12 assists. Last season, Jenny Norman (Peachtree City, Ga.), Holly Moring (Irmo, S.C.), Turman and Wilhoit combined for 41 of the 80 points in the win over the Hatters in Memorial Center. ETSU has won three of the four meetings in the series. The lone ETSU loss came during the 1995-96 season when the Hatters defeated the Lady Bucs, 74-71, in the Krystal Holiday Classic in Cookeville, Tenn.
