JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 16, 2007) - ETSU women's basketball head coach Karen Kemp announced Monday afternoon junior guard Alisha Holmes (Orangeburg, S.C.) has requested and will receive permission to transfer after the spring semester.

Holmes redshirted the 2006-07 season after suffering an ACL injury in the fall. In two seasons for the Lady Bucs, Holmes averaged 12.5 minutes a game and scored 2.1 points a contest.

"A key component to her decision was to be closer to her family," said Kemp.  "I respect Alisha's decision and wish her the best of luck."

The Lady Bucs have signed three players for the 2007-08 season during the fall period and still have two scholarships available to offer.
