JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 26, 2001) - East Tennessee State Lady Buc junior guard Samantha Copeland (Evansville, Tenn.) was named to the Tallahassee Democrat Seminole Classic All-Tournament Team, Sunday evening from Tallahassee, Fla. Copeland came off the bench in both games this weekend, averaging 14.5 points per game and 3.5 rebounds while shooting .579 from the floor. She led ETSU in scoring in Saturday's game against Florida State, scoring 15 points on 6-8 shooting and 3-3 from three-point range. She also added a team-high seven rebounds against the Seminoles. For the season, Copeland is third on the team in scoring, averaging 10.8 points per game in the first four contests. The Lady Bucs (1-3) finished fourth in the Seminole Classic, falling to Florida State, 99-66, on Saturday and Akron, 72-64, on Sunday. ETSU returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. as they host Radford from Memorial Center.
