Four-year letterwinner at Joliet Catholic Academy … Pennington led Joliet Catholic to a national ranking as high as No. 26 in the nation in the 2011 Powerade Fab 50 Girls Volleyball Rankings … also led her team to an 11th consecutive regional title, while guiding Joliet Catholic to state championships in 2008 and 2009, while a runner-up finish 2010 (compiling 114 wins in those three seasons) … named to the All-Tournament team at Autumn Fest and was an East Suburban Catholic Conference All-Conference member.
