KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 14, 2013) – After averaging 11.86 assists and 1.36 digs in four matches this weekend at the Comcast Lady Vol Classic, ETSU junior setter Jamie Rutledge (Kingsport, Tenn.) received All-Tournament Team accolades, which was announced late Saturday night at the conclusion of the tournament.
For the weekend, Rutledge registered 166 assists, 19 digs, seven blocks, and six kills in 14 total sets played in Knoxville.
Rutledge was outstanding in ETSU’s four-set win over Tennessee on Saturday as she recorded a season-high 62 assists and posted eight digs, marking the Bucs’ first win over the Lady Vols in 34 years. On Friday, the Kingsport, Tenn. native tallied 59 assists, eight digs, four blocks and three kills in the 3-1 victory over Austin Peay.
Rutledge and the Bucs return to action Friday when ETSU opens Atlantic Sun Conference play at Mercer. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
