This Week in ETSU Athletics: Nov. 26-Dec. 2

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 26, 2012) – Below is a list of all the ETSU Athletic events taking place for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2.

Men’s Basketball (1-3)

This week: The Bucs return home after their brief road stint to host Milligan on Thursday night. Tip time is set for 7 p.m. inside the MSHA Athletic Center. The game will be broadcast live on ASun.TV for free, while “Voice of the Bucs” Jay Sandos will carry the play-by-play on WXSM-AM 640 The Extreme Sports Monster. Last week: ETSU split its pair of road games last week after rallying past Charleston Southern, 59-57, on Tuesday night; however, the Blue and Gold fell to Georgia, 54-38, Friday night in Athens. Red-shirt freshman Lester Wilson (Knoxville, Tenn.) scored a career high 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting, while John Walton (Memphis, Tenn.) scored the game-winning basket with his layup with 3.7 seconds remaining, lifting ETSU to the two-point win at Charleston Southern. Meanwhile, Friday night at Georgia, Wilson led the team with 12 points and freshman guard Petey McClain (Mobile, Ala.) added eight points, four assists, and three steals in 37 minutes of play.

Women’s Basketball (0-2)

This week: After a 13-day layoff, the ETSU women’s basketball team returns to action when the Bucs host Memphis in their home opener on Friday night. Game time is set for 7 p.m. inside the MSHA Athletic Center and will be broadcast live on ASun.TV for free. In addition, live stats will be provided by visiting ETSUBucs.com.

Track & Field

This week: The ETSU men’s and women’s track and field teams open the indoor season on Saturday when the Bucs travel to Clemson, S.C., for the Orange and Purple Winter Classic.

Volleyball (23-12, 11-7 A-Sun)

This week: The ETSU volleyball team travels to Lexington for its NCAA Tournament first round matchup with Kentucky on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. inside Memorial Coliseum. The game will be video streamed live and live stats can be accessed via Gametracker.
