JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (October 27, 2011) – Less than a week after hosting Kennesaw State inside Brooks Gym, ETSU and Kennesaw State will square off once again – this time in Kennesaw, Ga. on Friday night at 7 p.m.

ETSU (11-14, 4-5 A-Sun) is coming off a weekend in which it split two home conference matches. The Bucs earned a thrilling 3-1 victory over Mercer on Friday night before falling to Kennesaw State on Saturday.

Sophomore Megan Devine (Kingsport, Tenn.) tallied 42 kills and 35 digs for the week, including a 20 kill and 14 dig performance against Presbyterian on Tuesday. In the victory against Mercer on Friday, Devine posted 14 kills and 12 digs for her team-leading 10th double-double of the season. She posted eight kills and nine digs against Kennesaw State on Saturday. Her final kill of the afternoon was the 750th kill of her career.

Devine continues to lead the Bucs in kills at 4.15 per set, which ranks her second in the Atlantic Sun. In addition, her 4.53 points per set also rank second in the league. Senior Jamie Stancliff (Advance, N.C.) remains the league leader in blocks at 1.16 per set. As a team, ETSU continues to lead the league in blocks at 2.16 per set.

Kennesaw State out-hit ETSU .243 to .130 in the match on Saturday, while the Owls also had a decisive 42-26 advantage in kills. Justine Young led the Owls with a match-high 12 kills on .250 hitting.

Kennesaw State enters the weekend with an 11-12 overall record and a 6-2 mark in the Atlantic Sun. The Owls will also take on USC Upstate this weekend, while ETSU has Saturday off.
