Bucs head to Campbell for key conference match

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 15, 2009) - The ETSU volleyball team will look to end a three-game losing streak Friday at 7 p.m. as the Bucs head to Buies Creek, N.C. to face Campbell at the John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center.

 

The Bucs (6-13, 5-6 A-Sun) have dropped three straight conference matches to Jacksonville, North Florida and USC Upstate. ETSU is led by Whitney Cogburn (Kingsport, Tenn.) as she has a team-best 187 kills and six double-doubles while posting 110 assists and 155 digs.

 

ETSU is.5-2 all-time against the Camels as the Bucs fell at home to Campbell 3-1 earlier in the season.

 

Campbell (13-8, 6-4 A-Sun) comes into the match having dropped three of its last five contests including losses to Jacksonville, Belmont and Lipscomb. The Camels are led by Ashley Weers as she has a conference best .376 hitting percentage tallying 197 kills on the season.
