ETSU volleyball set to close out the regular season in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 12, 2009) - The ETSU volleyball team is set to close out the regular season in Nashville as the Bucs take on Belmont and Lipscomb. The Buccaneers face Belmont at 3 p.m. on Friday, and close out the weekend against the Bisons on Saturday at 3 p.m.

 

The Bucs (11-16, 9-9 A-Sun) won both of their matches last weekend against North Florida and Jacksonville. ETSU is led by junior Alysa Long (Romulus, Mich.) as she is third in the A-Sun with a .329 hitting percentage.

 

The Bruins (15-14, 11-7 A-Sun) have won three of their last four against Jacksonville, North Florida and USC Upstate. Belmont is led by Channing Salava as she ranks third in the conference in assists and service aces.

 

Lipscomb (24-3, 18-0 A-Sun) has won 21 straight matches and has taken 26 straight sets. The Bisons are led by Alex Kelly who is first in the conference in kills per set averaging 4.54 per set.
