ETSU volleyball heads to Mercer and Kennesaw State

MACON, Ga. (Oct. 16, 2008) - The ETSU volleyball team travels to take on conference opponents Mercer (Friday 7 p.m.) and Kennesaw State (Saturday 4 p.m.) this weekend as the Bucs look to make a jump in the conference standings.

 

The Bucs (7-11, 4-6 A-Sun) have won two of their last three conference matches, defeating Campbell 3-2 and Kennesaw State 3-0.

 

Mercer (12-7, 7-4 A-Sun) comes into the contest having won its last two conference matches against Belmont Saturday and Kennesaw State Tuesday. The Bears defeated the Bucs 4 in their only meeting this season, 3-2, as Mercer came from behind after being down two sets to one.

 

The Owls (2-17, 1-10 A-Sun) have dropped eight straight matches including their last seven conference matches. The Bucs swept Kennesaw State at home on Oct. 3.
