CULLOWHEE, N.C. (Sept. 26, 2007) -The ETSU volleyball team had their four game win streak snapped as they were defeated by Western Carolina in four games on Wednesday night, 21-30, 22-30, 30-22, 27-30.      

 

The Bucs were led by Callie Kiselich (Colorado Springs, Colo.), and Amanda Youell (Middleburg, Fla.). Youell had a double-double for the fourth consecutive game with 47 assists and 11 digs. Kiselich also had a double-double for the Bucs as she collected 10 kills and 13 digs.

 

The Bucs had three other players with double digit kills. Freshman Laura Waddell (Lynchburg, Va.), led the Bucs with 13 kills. Senior Michelle Mislan (Indianapolis, Ind.), had 12 kills, while Desiree Dyck (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan), tallied 11 kills.

 

With the loss the Bucs fall to 10-8 with a 2-0 record in conference. The seven game road trip continues this weekend with two conference games in Nashville against Lipscomb and Belmont. The Bucs take on Lipscomb on Friday at 8 p.m. and Belmont on Saturday at 3 p.m.
