BOONE, N.C. (Oct. 17, 2007) -The ETSU volleyball team fell to Appalachian State in three games Wednesday in Boone, N.C., 17-30, 28-30, 18-30.

 

Freshman Laura Waddell (Lynchburg, Va.) led the Bucs offensively with eight kills. Freshman Desiree Dyck (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan), collected five kills. Senior Kaena Apana (Waianae, Hawaii), led the Bucs defensively with 18 digs.

 

Marissa Mortensen (Elk Grove, Ill.), had 21 assists and five digs for the Bucs, while Dani Howe (Hermitage, Tenn.), had seven digs in the match.

 

With the loss the Bucs are now 14-12 and 5-2 in the conference. The Bucs head home to take on conference opponent Campbell Saturday in Brooks Gym at 2 p.m.
