JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (September 24, 2006) - The ETSU volleyball squad earned its fifth win in the last six matches Sunday afternoon, dominating Eastern Kentucky 30-24, 30-20, 30-27 in Brooks Gym.

"I was extremely pleased with out entire team offensively today," said head coach Lindsey Devine.  "When we're passing the ball well like we did today, our hitters are going to score for us."

The Lady Bucs (11-5) controlled the match from the outset, building an 11-point game one lead at 24-13, and coasting to a six-point win.  Seniors Crystal Palmer (Chico, Calif.) and Jennifer Sartor (Toronto, Ontario) and junior Callie Kiselich (Colorado Springs, Colo.) each contributed four kills in the opening game, with senior Sarah Buhr (Stockton, Calif.) adding three of her own.

The ladies continued their onslaught in the second game, breaking open a 10-10 game with an 11-3 run, and hitting a mammoth .441 in the 10-point victory.  Palmer and Sartor hammered in five kills apiece, with Kiselich chipping in four more.

After starting the third and final game on a 3-0 run, the Lady Bucs never trailed, and only alloqed the Colonels to tie the frame three times, as Kiselich and Buhr pounded out five more kills and junior Michelle Mislan (Indianapolis, Ind.) hit five as well.  Senior Nani Emerson (Tracy, Calif.) continued directing the potent Lady Buc attack, dishing out 18 of her match-high 49 assists in the final game.

Kiselich and Sartor each finished with a match-high 13 kills, while Buhr and Palmer ended the day with 11 apiece.

ETSU is back in action Thursday evening, traveling to Boiling Springs, N.C. to open Atlantic Sun Conference play against Gardner-Webb.  Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
