JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (October 8, 2005) -  Callie Kiselich (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Jennifer Sartor (Toronto, Ontario) belted 13 kills and nine digs apiece as the East Tennessee State volleyball team blanked Lincoln Memorial, 3-0 (30-22, 31-29, 30-21), Saturday afternoon in Brooks Gym.  The win was the sixth in-a-row for ETSU, which improves to 12-5 on the year.

The Lady Railsplitters tested ETSU in game two rallying from as many as five points down to tie the score at 28.  Trailing 29-28, the Lady Bucs took control and won the next three points, claiming the 31-29 win.  Kiselich recorded a kill to put the Lady Bucs ahead, 30-29, on an assist from Jennifer Emerson (Santa Clara, Calif).  Sartor and Michelle Mislan (Indianapolis, Ind.) would guarantee the two-point win for ETSU, combining to block an attack by LMU's Joy Otto.

"When we were down in game two, and saw the potential for LMU to win, everyone had the utmost confidence in each other and really pulled together to win the game," said head coach Lindsey Devine.  "I think winning five straight coming into today played a big part in that confidence."

In a balanced offensive attack, Sarah Buhr (Stockton, Calif.) contributed 11 kills, followed by Mislan and Sara Scandiffio (Purcelliville, Va.) with nine and eight, respectively.  Emerson took care of the setting duties for the Lady Bucs, dishing out a match-high 46 assists.

"I just can't say enough about our team effort," said Devine.  "We really worked as a unit and that's something we've been working on in practice all year, and it's really becoming evident in our game play."

Scandiffio's .615 hitting percentage was tops on the team, with Sartor at .417, and Kiselich at .385.  Mislan also swung well, hitting .381.  The Lady Bucs tallied .344 on the day while holding LMU to .197.  Buhr was ETSU's top server, recording three serving aces.

Heidi Dreiling led the Lady Railsplitters with 11 kills, while Allison Holstein added 33 assists.  Courtney Marton was LMU's top defender, recording a match-high 10 digs.

The Lady Bucs go for seven-straight wins on Sunday afternoon, as they take on North Carolina A&T, at 2 p.m., in Brooks Gym.
