Johnson City, Tenn. -- The East Tennessee State volleyball team plays their first home match of the season Tuesday night against Appalachian State from Brooks Gym. The Bucs have begun the season by winning six of their first seven matches, all on the road. East Tennessee State is 3-1 in Southern Conference play, defeating Chattanooga, Furman and Wofford. Many Buccaneer players rank among the Southern Conference statistical leaders. Cavanaugh (.287) and sophomore Lissa Allen (.282) are among the league leaders in hitting percentage. Cavanaugh leads the conference in assists at 12.47 per game. Cavanaugh (3.43, third) and fellow senior Amber Ciskowski (3.33, fifth) are among the league leader in digs. The East Tennessee State-Appalachian State match begins at 7 p.m. from Brooks Gym on the campus of East Tennessee State University.
