Volleyball Signs Jessica Miller To NLI

Johnson City, Tenn. - Head volleyball coach Kim Byrd announced Jessica Miller (Knoxville, Tenn.) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Buccaneer program.

Miller, a senior at Farragut High School, earned the 1999 Knoxville News-Sentinel Volleyball Player-of-the-Year award. She also earned Gatorade Player-of-the-Year in Tennessee honors in 1998 and 1999.

The setter/outside hitter finished her senior season with 129 aces and 527 assists. She set 23 school records, including 426 career aces.

"We are very excited to have Jessica Miller coming to ETSU," Byrd said. "She is an outstanding player that could contribute immediately."

ETSU finished the 1999 season with a 20-11 overall record. It was the Bucs' highest win total since 1993.
