(April 24, 2012) – Tennessee Tech scored three runs in the first and tacked on two more in the third to come away with a 5-1 victory in game one, while the Golden Eagles capped off the sweep by plating three unearned runs in the third inning and added five two-out runs in the fourth to post an 11-3 (six inning) victory in game two.

The Bucs saw Longwood rally past the Blue and Gold in the first game, 3-2, while ETSU dropped an 11-10 nine-inning loss to Western Carolina in the consolation game of the tournament.

(Jan. 25, 2012)Sam Lower (Sebring, Fla.) enjoyed a breakout season a year ago as a sophomore, and on Wednesday afternoon the junior infielder was recognized by the league coaches as she was named to the Preseason All-Atlantic Sun Team. Along with receiving all-conference honors, Lower was also named Player of the Year in the fan voting on Facebook.
