Lady Bucs kick off six-game road swing Tuesday night in Blacksburg

(April 5, 2010) - The ETSU softball team kicks off a six-game road swing Tuesday evening as the Lady Bucs head over to Virginia Tech and face the Hokies in a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch of game one is set for 5 p.m. at The Lady Bucs have won five of their last eight games and carry a record of 14-22 into the series with the Hokies. ETSU picked up sweeps over Appalachian State and Stetson this past week; however, The Hokies enter play losing six straight and sit 13-23 overall. Virginia Tech is led by senior outfielder Whitney Davis as she leads the team with a .321 average, while fellow Hokie outfielder Richelle McGarva posts a team-leading nine doubles and 20 RBI in 36 games.
