Soggy weather pushes softball doubleheaders back a day in Nashville

Friday, April 04, 2008

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 4, 2008) - Due to the large amount of rain that has hit the Nashville region, the Atlantic Sun Conference announced Friday afternoon they have pushed ETSU's doubleheaders with Lipscomb and Belmont back a day.

Originally, ETSU was scheduled to play Lipscomb on Friday evening, and now the series will be played Saturday. In addition, the Lady Bucs' double-dip with Belmont - which was scheduled for Saturday afternoon - has been moved to Sunday.

Belmont and Campbell were planned to play Friday as well, but with the soggy weather the doubleheader was also moved to Saturday. Campbell will then play Lipscomb on Monday.

The ETSU/Lipscomb series is scheduled to get underway at 3 p.m. EST, but has a possibility to be pushed back if the field conditions are still unplayable.

ETSU will play Belmont Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. EST.
