BOCA RATON, Fla. (May 13, 2006) - Junior Stephanie Gaynord (Manassas, Va.) and senior Jessica Lonsinger (Dale City, Va.) both earned spots on the Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team, following their outstanding performances at this weekend's A-Sun Softball Tournament.  The fifth-seeded Lady Bucs fought their way to a third-place finish, falling a game short of the championship contest.

Lonsinger hit a team-high .364 for the tournament, collecting four hits in 11 at bats.  The senior catcher also knocked home a pair of runs in the sixth inning against four-seed Campbell, lifting the Lady Bucs to the 5-3 victory.

Gaynord posted a .333 average on the weekend, managing five hits, two RBIs, and two runs scored.  The junior also belted a pair of homeruns, elevating her school-record total to 11 for the season.  The shortstop was one of the hottest players in the conference during the closing weeks of the season, winning back-to-back A-Sun Player of the Week awards, while ending the 2006 campaign on an 11-game hit streak.

Host-school and second-seeded Florida Atlantic took the tournament crown with an 8-4 victory over Stetson on Saturday.  The NCAA-bound Owls placed three on the all-tournament squad, while runner-up Stetson put four players on the team, including MVP recipient Andrea Migliori.

The Lady Bucs took a first-round loss to FAU, before battling back to defeat Gardner-Webb and Campbell.  Stetson ended ETSU's impressive run, claiming a 5-2 decision on Friday evening.  ETSU (22-36, 9-11 A-Sun) finished the season in dazzling fashion, winning nine of its last 12, including a 7-1 record in its final eight regular season conference tilts.
