Southern Conference Softball Championship Games Postponed Again

Chattanooga, Tenn. (May 4, 2002) - Due to rain and field conditions, the Southern Conference Softball Championship games have been postponed Sunday, May 5. East Tennessee State's second-round game with Chattanooga will be played at 10:00 am on Sunday. Games 13 and 14 will be played on Monday, May 6 at a time to be announced by the games committee. Games will be played at Frost Stadium and Hargraves Field. Hargraves Field is located adjacent to Frost Stadium. The complete schedule for the rest of the tournament is as follows: SCHEDULE FOR SUNDAY, MAY 5 10:00 am Game 7: Chattanooga vs ETSU at Frost Stadium Game 6: UNC Wilmington vs UNC Greensboro at Hargraves Field 12:15 pm Game 8: Georgia Southern vs Furman at Frost Stadium Game 9: Winner of Game 6 vs Loser of Game 7 2:30 pm Game 11: Winner Game 7 vs Winner Game 8 at Frost Stadium Game 10: College of Charleston vs Loser of Game 8 at Hargraves 5:00 pm Game 12: Winner game 9 vs Winner Game 10 at Frost Stadium SCHEDULE FOR MONDAY, MAY 6 Game 13: Winner game 12 vs Loser game 10, TBA Game 14: Winner game 13 vs Winner game 10, TBA Game 15 if necessary
