ETSU Women’s Soccer looks to remain unbeaten at Summers-Taylor Stadium

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 5, 2013) – After a road contest at NC State, the ETSU women’s soccer team returns home Friday night to host Winthrop at 7:00 p.m. inside Summers-Taylor Stadium.

The match will be the Buccaneers (1-3-0) second home match of the season, as ETSU convincingly beat VMI 5-1 in its home opener Aug. 30.

SCOUTING WINTHROP

  • The Eagles (2-0-0) will enter the match riding a two-game win streak after beating Wofford and Anderson University (S.C.) to start the season.
  • Winthrop is paced by junior forward Krystyna Freda, who has three goals and one assist on the young season.
    • Freda recorded two goals and an assist in Winthrop’s 5-1 win over Anderson.
