Pugh makes Open Championship debut Thursday

ETSU rising junior tees off at 7:28 (ET)
GULLANE, Scotland (July 17, 2013) – East Tennessee State University rising junior Rhys Pugh (Pontypridd, Wales) makes his Open Championship debut Thursday morning as the Welsh product tees off at Muirfield at 7:28 (ET).
Pugh secured a spot in golf’s oldest Major Championship by winning the 2012 European Amateur Championship, and the Buccaneer golfer is paired with 1997 Open Championship winner Justin Leonard (USA) and 2009 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Marc Leishman (AUS).
Earlier in the week, Pugh had a practice times on Monday and Tuesday before first round play gets underway Thursday morning.
