ETSU's Andreazza earns A-Sun Player of the Week honors

MACON, Ga. (March 19, 2014) - After going unbeaten in singles play during ETSU's conference-opening weekend, senior Giulia Andreazza (Balneario Camboriu, Brazil) has been named Atlantic Sun Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

Andreazza opened league play by notching a win over Florida Gulf Coast's Stampfli, 6-1, 7-5. One day later, the Balneario Camboriu, Brazil, native knocked off 2013 All-Atlantic Sun First Team selection Andrea Crespo, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4, in the Bucs' 6-1 win over Stetson, which snapped the Hatters' program-record, 10-match win streak.

The senior also paired with Jessica Brumit (Elizabethton, Tenn.) to pick up a win at No. 3 doubles versus Stetson.

Andreazza becomes the second ETSU Women's Tennis player to be named A-Sun Player of the Week in the past three weeks. Lyn Yee Choo (Kuching, Malaysia) was awarded the honor March 5.
