JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 13, 2013) – Each week during the season, members of the ETSU volleyball team will be featured in a segment called “Getting to Know You.” The 11th player to be featured is junior libero Katie Muey (Alexandria, Ind.).

During the preseason, the players were given the questionnaire, which can be found below, and each of them submitted their answers. Below are the responses by Muey:

What’s the number one thing on your bucket list?

  • To go whale watching in Juneau, Alaska!

If you could be on any reality TV show what would it be and why?

  • Real World’s “The Challenge” because I think I'd be really good at all of the tasks/challenges.

What is one thing you can’t live without and why?

  • My cell phone – it keeps me connected to the ones I love that are so far away!

If you were stranded on an island what are two things you would bring with you?

  • An inflatable raft and flare guns.

Is there any meaning behind your number you wear?

  • Number 3 and 10 were taken, so I went with 12.

If you could be one person for a day, who would you be and why?

  • Guy Fieri, so I could run around the country eating everything in sight!

If you weren’t playing volleyball, what sport would you play?

  • I would probably be a gymnast!

Do you have a gameday tradition?

  • Play solitaire on my iPod and listen to music.

What are your plans after graduation?

  • To be a grad assistant for a college volleyball team and receive my Master’s in child psychology.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

  • I graduated from a very small high school … There were only 99 people who graduated in my senior class back in 2011.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the off-season?

  • Cuddle up in bed or on the couch, and watch Disney movies with a big bowl of movie theatre popcorn!

Muey and the Bucs wrap up regular season play this weekend, beginning with a match versus North Florida Friday night at 7 p.m. inside Brooks Gym. On Saturday, ETSU hosts Jacksonville at 3 p.m.
