JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 13, 2013) – With the baseball season set to get underway in three days, the ETSU marketing department announced its promotional schedule for Friday’s opener when the Bucs take the field against Big Ten foe Penn State. First pitch of 2013 season opener is slated for 2:35 p.m., at Thomas Stadium.

Prior to the opener on Friday afternoon, a dedication ceremony will be held inside Thomas Stadium beginning at 10:30 a.m. The celebration is open to the public, which will be followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony to conclude the special event.

After the dedication, the ETSU marketing department will hold special promotions prior to first pitch for fans and students. Below is a list of promotional items for Friday’s season opener:

• Free food from FATZ – students only
• First 300 students receive an exclusive “Opening Day” T-Shirt
• First 1,000 fans receive “Opening Day” poster, courtesy of Sir Speedy
• Fans have the chance to win prizes from the Neebo Bookstore, Carnegie Hotel and other Johnson City area businesses
