ETSU men's cross country jumps up to No. 6 in USTFCCCA South Region

NEW ORLEANS (Oct. 2, 2012) – ETSU men’s cross country jumped up four spots to No. 6 in the South Region in this week’s U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings on Tuesday.
The Buccaneers are the highest ranked Atlantic Sun team while Kennesaw State are ranked eighth and Mercer sits at the 13th spot in the South Region. Florida State tops the South Region, followed by Georgia at two and Florida at three. Auburn was tabbed fourth and Tennessee rounds out the top-five.
The Bucs finished 18th out of 31 in the Greater Louisville Classic against 16 other regionally ranked schools. All but one Buccaneer ran a personal best and Filip Jalovy led the Bucs by running is first-ever sub-25:00.00 8k time.
ETSU returns to action on Oct. 12 at Boone, N.C. for the Blue Ridge Open.
