Spartanburg, S.C. (Sept. 20, 2012) – The ETSU women’s tennis team continues fall action this weekend, traveling to the Spartanburg, S.C. to compete in the USC Upstate Fall Classic at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.

The tournament will be held Friday through Sunday, consisting of 32 competitors in the main singles draw, and 16 duos in the main doubles draw. Student-athletes from Wofford and Presbyterian, among other schools, will join the Buccaneers and Spartans for the weekend tournament.

Making the three-day trip for ETSU will be sophomores Jessica Brumit (Elizabethton, Tenn.) and Kelsey Williams (Sunbury, Australia), along with junior newcomers Salma Dahbi (Marrakech, Morocco) and Sofia Espana (Mexico City, Mexico). All four Buccaneers will compete for the singles and doubles titles, with Brumit and Williams making up one doubles team and Dahbi and Espana making up the other.

Freshman Anna Gerbasi (Caracas, Venezuela) fought her way through the C flight for the singles crown, while the duo of Antonia Kolovou (Larisa, Greece) and Larn McShane (Hobart Tasmania, Australia) won the doubles B flight.
