Men’s tennis announces times for this weekend’s home openers

ETSU to begin home season at Bristol Racquet Club

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 22, 2012) – Director of ETSU Tennis Yaser Zaatini announced the ETSU men’s tennis team will be playing its first home matches of the 2011-12 season at the Bristol Racquet Club in Bristol, Tenn., with the Bucs set to face Appalachian State on Saturday at  4 p.m. and Tennessee Tech on Sunday at 10 a.m.

ETSU (0-8) has played each of its first eight matches on the road this season. The Bucs opened the year in Lexington, Ky. against then-No. 22 Tulsa and then-No. 57 NC State as part of the ITA Kickoff Weekend. ETSU then headed for Georgia to battle Georgia State and then-No. 4 Georgia, before taking a trip to the central plains region to take on then-No. 73 Drake, Denver and then-No. 38 Nebraska. The team’s most recent trip was to Murfreesboro, Tenn., which wound up in a 4-3 loss to MTSU.
