MACON, Ga. (Oct. 12, 2011) – ETSU freshman Gabriella Wahl (Heidenheim, Germany) enjoyed her best performance of the year earlier this week at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, and for her efforts she has earned her first Atlantic Sun Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week honor, the league office announced Wednesday.

Wahl finished the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate in sixth place on the individual leaderboard, posting rounds of 72-70-73 to card an overall score of 1-under-par 145. Her second round 70 was a career low, and she helped lead the ETSU women to a team finish of sixth in the 20-team field.

After three events this fall, she has enjoyed two finishes of 16th or better and is currently ranked second on the team with a stroke average of 75.5.

Wahl and her ETSU teammates will return to action on Oct. 23 at the Palmetto Intercollegiate in Kiawah Island, S.C. For more on ETSU women’s golf throughout the 2011-12 season, visit ETSUBucs.com and click on the women’s golf link.
