JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (October 10, 2011) – Fresh off a home victory against UNF on Saturday, the ETSU volleyball team closes out the three-match homestand against Wofford in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. inside Brooks Gym.

ETSU (8-11, 2-3 A-Sun) is coming off a thrilling victory over North Florida on Saturday’s Fan Appreciation Day. The Bucs roared back in the fourth set after being down 24-21 to ultimately take the 30-28 victory, which clinched the match 3-1.

Sophomore Megan Devine (Kingsport, Tenn.) continued her offensive dominance as she tied a career-high with 22 kills in the match. Perhaps the most impressive individual performance of the weekend from the Bucs came from senior McKayla Barber (Columbus, Ind.) as she recorded a career-high 17 kills on just 21 attempts with no errors. The .810 hitting percentage she recorded broke an ETSU all-time record for highest hitting percentage in a match.

Devine continues to lead the Bucs in kills at 4.22 per set, which ranks her second in the Atlantic Sun. In addition, her 4.60 points per set also rank second in the league. Senior Jamie Stancliff (Advance, N.C.) remains the league leader in blocks at 1.21 per set. Stancliff needs just 47 more blocks to place 10th on the Atlantic Sun career blocks list. As a team, ETSU continues to lead the league in blocks at 2.21 per set.

ETSU is 12-4 all-time against Wofford after the Bucs defeated the Terriers, 3-0, last season in Spartanburg, S.C. Devine led the Bucs with 15 kills in the match, while Kiley Tamblyn (Torrance, Calif.) racked up a match-high 22 digs.

We encourage you to come for a chance to win free food from Wendy’s and participate in the WENDY’S WIN promotion. If the Bucs beat Wofford, each fan will receive a coupon for free Wendy’s.
