Princeton Review Names ETSU One of the Best Colleges in the Southeast

Wednesday, August 03, 2011

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 3, 2011) – The Princeton Review released its list of the best colleges earlier this week, and East Tennessee State University was named one of the top colleges in the Southeast region.

In this project, the Princeton Review divided the country into four regions and 629 colleges stood out as academically excellent institutions of higher learning. The Southeast region spans across the Atlantic seaboard, north to West Virginia and Kentucky, and west to the Mississippi River.

During this process, the Princeton Review asked students to rate their own schools on several issues – ranging from the accessibility of their professors, to quality of campus life – as well as answer questions about themselves, their fellow students, and the community. After sorting through all the data, ETSU was one of the 135 colleges chosen in the Southeast region.

The Princeton Review has been a pioneer and leader in helping students achieve their higher education goals for more than 28 years through college and graduate school test preparation and tutoring. With more than 165 print and digital publications and a free website, www.princetonreview.com, the company provides students and their parents with the resources to research, apply to, prepare for and learn how to pay for higher education.
