TAMPA, Fla. (June 18, 2012) – ETSU men’s soccer freshman Emmanuel Wilson (Memphis, Tenn.) recorded a hat trick for the Knoxville Soccer Academy on his way to being named a Super-20 League top performer.

(April 11, 2012) – ETSU men’s soccer head coach Scott Calabrese announced the signing of the program’s 2012 recruiting class on Wednesday, welcoming Dalton Guzman (Knoxville, Tenn.), Joao Victor Ramalho (Monte Santo, Brazil), Henrique Novaes (Vinhedo, Brazil) and Jeremy Saad (Sydney, Australia) to the Buccaneer program.

COLUMBUS, Ohio. (March 23, 2012) – After being drafted by the Montreal Impact in the MLS Supplemental Draft in January, ETSU men’s soccer senior Aaron Schoenfeld (Knoxville, Tenn.) became the first Buccaneer to sign an MLS contract on Friday by signing with the league’s Columbus Crew.

NEW YORK (Jan. 17, 2012) – ETSU men’s soccer senior forward Aaron Schoenfeld (Knoxville, Tenn.) made Buccaneer history on Tuesday afternoon, becoming the first ETSU student-athlete to be drafted by the MLS (Major League Soccer) after the League’s Montreal Impact chose Schoenfeld with the first pick in the second round of the Supplemental Draft.

(August 26, 2011) – The last time the ETSU men’s soccer team competed in Summers-Taylor Stadium the match ended with the Bucs hoisting their first Atlantic Sun championship trophy in program history, and for the first time on Saturday, the Buccaneers will reenter their home turf for the 2011 season opener against Presbyterian at 6 p.m. as the reigning Atlantic Sun champions.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (August 15, 2011) – The ETSU men’s soccer team came up one goal shy, 1-0, of the No. 22 Virginia Cavaliers on Monday morning at Klockner Stadium. The Bucs and Cavs played a 30 minute first half followed by a 45 minute second in the exhibition contest.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (August 14, 2011) – Through 38 minutes of action the ETSU men’s soccer team led No. 22 Virginia, 2-1, in an exhibition game, but then the rain came. After delaying the game for nearly two hours, coaches and officials decided to cancel the game and play two 30 minute halves tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.

(Aug. 13, 2011) – Exactly 38 weeks had passed since the ETSU men’s soccer team made its first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and on Thursday evening, student-athletes, coaches and trainers all reported to Summers-Taylor Stadium to begin the first day of practice and their quest towards another NCAA Tournament run.
