Cubs draft Hoilman in 19th round

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 7, 2011) - After choosing to come back for his senior season, first baseman Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) was taken by the Chicago Cubs in the 19th-round of the 2011 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
Hoilman finished the season tied for third in the country in home runs with 22 and broke the Atlantic Sun career records for both home runs (73) and doubles (83). The senior hit .313 in 2011 with 22 doubles and 50 RBI.
The local product was one of two Buccaneer selected in the 2010 MLB draft as he was picked by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 49th round.
