Bucs begin Georgia road swing in Atlanta against No. 8 Yellow Jackets

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 16, 2011) - The ETSU baseball team is set to begin a four-game road swing in Atlanta, Ga. on Tuesday at 6 p.m. as the Bucs face No. 8 Georgia Tech in a non-conference game at Russ Chandler Stadium.
The Bucs (34-17, 15-10 A-Sun) are coming off of a sweep of Campbell, and have won 12 of their last 14 contests. ETSU is 2-4 against the ACC on the year, while the Yellow Jackets (37-17, 20-7 ACC) are 1-3 against teams from the Atlantic Sun.
ETSU is currently hitting .306 as a team and leads the country in home runs with 81. Sophomore Andrew Green (Powell, Tenn.) will look to continue a 13-game hit streak, while Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) is one home run short of posting 20 plus homers in back-to-back seasons.
Georgia Tech is led by Kyle Wren and Matt Skole. Wren is hitting a team-best .373, while Skole, the nephew of ETSU head coach Tony Skole, has six home runs and 48 RBI.
The Buccaneers will face freshman righty Matt Grimes on the mound. Grimes in 6-3 on the year and has a 4.42 ERA with 61 strikeouts.
