ETSU Baseball to close out home schedule with Campbell

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 12, 2011)
- The ETSU baseball team is set to host Campbell in the final home series of the year at Cardinal Park starting Friday at 7:05 p.m. as the Bucs are slated to close out the regular season on the road next week.
Saturday is Senior Day at Cardinal Park as the Bucs (31-17, 12-10 A-Sun) and Camels (16-32, 2-22 A-Sun) will play a doubleheader starting at 1:05 p.m. The second game of the doubleheader will begin approximately 30 minutes following the completion of game one.
Head coach Tony Skole is only three wins away from reaching the 400 win milestone in his career. The Buccaneer skipper has seven regular season games left on the schedule in 2011.
The Bucs are coming off of an 8-3 loss at No. 13 Clemson on Wednesday. ETSU has posted at least one home run in 13 straight games led by senior Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) who hit his league leading 17th home run against the Tigers.
ETSU is hitting .301 as a team and has a 5.05 ERA coming into the weekend. The Buccaneers and Camels are tied at 6-all in the all-time series with the Bucs taking two of three contests last year in Buies Creek, N.C. The series will be the last A-Sun series played against Campbell, as the Camels are slated to move to the Big South Conference in 2011-12.
The Camels come into the weekend have lost 13 of their last 14 games including ten straight in conference play. Campbell is led by Ellis Lowe who is hitting .338 with 14 doubles and 40 RBI. Lowe is currently the active NCAA career leader in hits with 324.
