JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 10, 2011) - After going 3-1 with a series win over North Carolina State a week ago, the ETSU baseball team was named the Southeast Region Team of the Week, announced College Baseball Insider on Tuesday.

Last week was a very important one for the Bucs (31-16, 12-10 A-Sun) as they jumped in the official NCAA RPI from No. 37 to No. 32 and saw head coach Tony Skole reach his 300th win at ETSU.

Senior Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) also set the ETSU career hits record in the Appalachian State contest with his home run the sixth inning to surpass for Buccaneer great Shane Byrne with 291 hits. Later in the week, Hoilman broke the A-Sun doubles record against the Wolfpack posting his 70th career double.
