JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 15, 2011) - The ETSU baseball team will look to end a 15 year drought at Tennessee Tech Wednesday as the Bucs head to Cookeville, Tenn. for a 4 p.m. EDT contest with the Golden Eagles. ETSU (10-2, 4-0 A-Sun) comes into the game on a six-game win streak after sweeping North Florida in dramatic style this past weekend. Junior Dylan Pratt (Johnson City, Tenn.) leads the Bucs with four home runs and 19 RBI on the season.
The Buccaneers are 39-45 all time against Tennessee Tech. The last time ETSU won at Cookeville, Tenn. was back in 1996 when the Bucs pulled out a 5-4 win. ETSU just missed ending the drought last year as TTU rallied for two runs in the ninth to defeat the Bucs, 6-5.
The Golden Eagles (7-9) come into the contest having swept Youngstown State this past weekend. Zach Stephens leads the way for Tennessee Tech as he is hitting a team-best .388 with four home runs and 22 RBI.
