Freshman stands tied for fourth, while team currently sits 10th

GREENVILLE, S.C. (Oct. 29, 2010) - ETSU freshman Sian Evans (Gillingham, England) posted an impressive score of 2-over-par 74 to finish tied for fourth on the individual leaderboard and lead the Buccaneers during first round play at the Lady Paladin Invitational Friday at the Furman University Golf Course

As a team, the Buccaneers are currently 10th on the team leaderboard, 15 strokes back of first-round leader Georgia State, which posted a 302 effort in the first round. Individually, three players are tied for first place, with Evans and a group of others just one stroke back at 74.

While Evans continues to be one of the team's most consistent performers, junior Mayte Vizcarrondo (Cadiz, Spain) also posted another solid effort, finishing at 5-over 77 to tie for 17th individually. Other ETSU results included a tie for 42nd by senior Nina Muehl (Vienna, Austria).

The Bucs will continue with second round action set for Saturday, followed by third and final round play on Sunday. Live scoring of the event is available at Golfstat.com, while ETSUBucs.com will provide a complete wrap of the day's action each evening following the conclusion of play.
