ETSU baseball set for 11th annual Blue/Gold World Series

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 8, 2010) - The ETSU baseball team is set to play its 11th annual Blue/Gold World Series as the Bucs open the series this Friday at Cardinal Park. First pitch Friday is set for 5 p.m., while both games on Saturday and Sunday are slated for 1 p.m.
 
Senior Bo Burton (Kingsport, Tenn.) will face off against sophomore Derek Bushey (Richmond, Va.) on Friday, Clinton Freeman (Jonesborough, Tenn.) and John Long (Anderson, S.C.) will start Saturday afternoon, and Bo Reeder (Cookeville, Tenn.) and Kerry Doane (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) will close out the weekend on Sunday.
 
The honorary coaching staffs for the Blue/Gold World Series are Head Athletic Trainer Brian Johnston, Media Relations Assistant Jeff Schneider and Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services Bob Baker for the Blue Squad. The Gold Squad will be coached by the "Voice" of the Bucs Jay Sandos, Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer Kyle Utne and Baseball Manager Josh Payne.
