ETSU Athletics helps with Move-In Day

Thursday, August 26, 2010

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (August 26, 2010) -The ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics volunteered to help new and returning students with Move-In Day on Thursday.

Members of the ETSU athletic teams as well as staff members helped unload vehicles carrying clothing, refrigerators, microwaves, and other numerous items into the ETSU residence halls.

"Move-in day is a great way for our staff and student-athletes to help greet the incoming students and create awareness of ETSU Athletics," commented Sara Hacker, Assistant Director of Marketing, Promotions, and Event Management. "This is also a time for our staff and teams to come together and give back to the university."

Classes start Saturday, Aug. 28, while competition for the ETSU men's and women's soccer teams have already been underway, and the volleyball team begins its 2010 campaign this weekend.
